  1. Exam Registration
    1. First, you need to register on our website. If you already have an account, go to Login.
    2. Select the type of "exam" and choose the desired subjects. If you are booking multiple sessions, only select a portion of the subjects at a time.
    3. Once you have selected the desired subjects for the session, click "Add to Cart".
    4. Then, click on the Cart button to complete the bookings.

    Flugring Salzburg handles the registration for the theoretical exam with austroCONTROL (this is the official registration with the authority).

  2. Sessions

    3. A session lasts three hours. There is a 45-minute break between sessions. Sessions can be extended by up to 15 minutes. You can also book two sessions in one day if you are taking more extensive or more than three individual exams. A fee of €120,- is charged for each session. PPL exams (9 subjects) must be completed in one session.

  3. Examination Process

    4. All regulations for EXAMS/PILOT LICENSES as outlined on the austroCONTROL website apply. austroCONTROL monitors the exams via a video system.

  4. Billing for Session Fee/Examination Tax

    5. The session fee for infrastructure, management, organization, and exam supervision at the Examination Center Salzburg is €120,- per session (regardless of the type and number of exams). This amount is NOT refunded in case of no-show or cancellation.

    The examination tax from austroCONTROL is charged in addition and is included in the session fee. Therefore, you will NOT receive an additional invoice from austroCONTROL. You will receive an invoice from Flugring. In case of no-show or cancellation, regardless of the reason, the amount is NOT refunded.

    6. Only the applications listed below are accepted for exam registration!

    The correctly completed and signed "Registration for Theoretical Exam" form must be uploaded to the dashboard at least 7 days before the exam date.

    If all the icons in the dashboard are green, we have everything. You will not receive any further confirmation emails.

  6. Examination Procedure

    7. According to austroCONTROL's conditions - website, see which aids are allowed during the exam.

    We ask you to familiarize yourself with the exam software in advance; a demo exam is available at LPLUS TestStudio.

    You will see the result of the exam immediately after completing a subject. You can download the results in the dashboard one week after the exam date.

    Please arrive 15 minutes before the exam time.
